MISSION STATEMENT
Making it Good in the Hood Ministries empowers communities of diverse cultures through transformative programs that meet urgent needs, restore human dignity, and forge pathways to lasting change. We unite neighbors around faith and community to address hunger, homelessness, trauma, and despair—while igniting healing and hope. Through interfaith and intracommunity collaboration, we confront the root causes of poverty and violence, celebrate the inherent strength of our people, and affirm this truth: everyone deserves the opportunity to flourish right here in the hood—our neighborhood.

We envision a community where our streets are defined by resilience rather than struggle, where unity transcends division, where every person has access to the resources they need to thrive, and where the hood is recognized not for what's been lost, but for the transformation rising from within.

Elder Jonathan Seals
Dedicated to the restoration of our community, Elder Jonathan Seals leads Making It Good in the Hood Ministries with a vision for "Sanctified Urban" renewal. With a heart for service and a commitment to authentic action, Elder Seals works tirelessly to bridge the gap between immediate relief and long-term transformation. Under his leadership, we are not just providing services; we are rebuilding the foundation of our communities with dignity, faith, and resilience.
